I'll never forget... (share a memory for the memory book): During the Cuban Missile Crisis, before school, the cafeteria filled with students waiting for classes to begin was almost silent. Some of my friends and I thought we would sneak into the school that night - thinking that if MacDill was bombed, we would all die together. Of course, we didn't do that. Happier memories were of slumber parties, bonfires after football games and skinny dipping in the Officers Club pool.
Since High School I... (personal Accomplishments): worked hard to become a educator who made a difference in the learning of students and teachers. I thought I should write about that because I had been chosen as the senior "Most Likely to Succeed." (Oh, how I hated that honor!) Instead at this stage in life, my success is being a tough survivor who tries to enjoy life every day. Now,I can't believe how blessed I am with happiness! Wishing all Knights joy in their lives!
Share with us your favorite vacation story (for the memory book): My just-married-one-year husband and I are whittling away at a bucket list. My favorite vacation was to the western United States. We hiked the Grand Canyon and then the trails at Zion National Park. We saw the ponderosa pine forests and pink hoodoos of Bryce Canyon. The scenery of massive sandstone cliffs, weeping rocks, emerald pools, mesas and buttes was beautiful nature that I had never ever encountered. We crossed paths with prong horn antelope, big horn sheep and mule deer. I like the comforts of home, but the closer I get to nature the happier I am. We will miss the RHS reunion because of a trip to Alaska and Vancouver. I so wish I could see all you Knights again and hear your life stories! Happy reunion!
