After 27 years of service she retired from the United States Post Office holding the position of Postmaster. Deborah was preceded in death by her father, Mathews D'Arrigo, and is survived by her mother, Kitty Breakfield; sister, Lynn D'Arrigo Hedges and niece, Nanette Wagner; aunts, Doris Ingram and Lucy Townsend, uncles, Joe and Carl D'Arrigo; and several cousins in Florida and Georgia. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Avenue, Tampa. Carl was honored by the United States Navy Honor Guard and by DeSoto Lodge No.105 F&AM at his interment at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens on July 19, 2001.

Frank was a member of the Track team and the Choir his Senior year at Robinson.

Frank was an 'Air Force Brat' and enlisted in the Marine Corps five months after he graduated from Robinson.  He was with the Special Forces unit and served in Vietnam.  He died serving his country in Vietnam on June 27, 1967.

DARRYL H. MCMAIN

GRAFTON - Retired U.S. Navy Bo's'n Darryl Hugh McMain, chief warrant officer 4, 51, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 1997.

A native of Memphis, Tenn., he had lived in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake before moving to the Peninsula 12 years ago. He retired in 1993 as a Bo's'n, chief warrant officer 4, stationed at NAS-Solomon Annex, Maryland, as OIC Officer Command, after 27 years of service. He received the Surface Warfare Insignia, the Good Conduct Medal, the Expeditionary Medal and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, naming only a few of his many commendations. He was a member of the Supply Hunt Club of South Hampton and the Fort Eustis Golf Association. He was past co-president of the Tabb Tiger Band. He attended Liberty Baptist Church, Hampton.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Iris Aycock McMain; one daughter, Ruth Anne McMain of the home; one sister, Cheryl "Kim" Patrick, and her husband, Larry, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Michael A. McMain, and his wife, Susan, of Maryville, Tenn., and Patrick A. McMain, and his wife, Angela, of Freeport, Fla.; aunt, Pauline Breda of Houston, Texas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Murdock and Lillian Mason of Chesapeake; three brothers-in-law and their wives, Simon and Sandy Aycock, Phil and Lillie Devorak and David and June Mason, all of Chesapeake, and sister-in-law, Joyce Gettier of Portsmouth; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. in Hampton Memorial Gardens, Hampton. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Amory Funeral Home, Grafton.

Wally Stovall was 53, native and lifelong resident of Tampa passed away on April 28, 2000 in Tampa, Florida.  Graveside funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 3, 2000 at 11:00 AM in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.  Those attending the services were requested to meet directly at the cemetary.  Left to cherish his memory are his father, W.O. Stovall, Jr., of Tarpon Springs, Florida; his brother, Larry Stovall and wife Jackie of Bradenton, Florida; his sisters, Marlene L. Stovall of Tampa and Sandra S. Mason of Atlanta, Georgia; and his niece, Nikki.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to LifePath Hospice.

He is interred at Garden of Memories.

George was on the Varsity football team his Sophomore year, the Varsity Basketball team and the a member of the Letterman's Club all three years at Robinson.  He participated in Tin Pan Alley his Sophomore year, was a member of the Key Club his Junior and Senior years at Robinson and the FCA his Senior year at Robinson.

ST. MARY'S, Ga. - Brenda Wonn Whipp, 53, of 296 Liberty Tree Road, and formerly of Williamsport, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at Camden Medical Center in Kingsland, Ga.

Born Sept. 28, 1946, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Maurice and Lorene Henson Wonn.

She was employed as a veterinarian surgical technician.

She served in the U.S. Air Force.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Tampa, Fla.

She was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Whipp Jr.; a daughter, Teresa A. Brunetti of Macon, Ga.; and a granddaughter, Kristi Lynn Brunetti of Macon.

Services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St. in Williamsport. The Rev. Alfred E. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport.

Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open after 9 a.m.

Brenda was a member of the Chorus and the Science Club her Sophomore and Junior year at Robinson, serving as Sargeant at Arms for the Science Club her Junior year.  She was also a member of the Lionettes her Junior year.

Thomas O.V. Morris passed away on July 20, 2010, at the age of 63.  He was born in Nashville, Tennessee.

While at Robinson, Tom was a member of Student Council and acted in Tin Can Alley his somphmore year and the tennis team his somphmore and junior years.  He was a member of the Interact Club all three years at Robinson and served as President of that club his senior year.  He was on the Junior Committee and a member of the Letterman's Club his Junior and Senior years, the History Club his Junior year and F.C.A. his Senior year.

Tom served in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1971 and received an asssociates degree from Hillsborough Community College in 1972.  He was a financial planner for 36 years, an "Order of the Arrow: Eagle Boy Scout, a Key Leader for 50 years at Bayshore Baptist Church and was a lifetime choir member.  He was a board member for Hillsborough House of Hope, member of the Florida Baptist Financial services Board and supported many other charities and organizations in the Tampa area.

Madeline belonged to the Lionettes service club her three years at Robinson (Sophmore, Junior and Senior years) and was Treasurer during her Junior and Senior years.  She represented her class on the Sophmore and Junior Committees and was a member of the Student Council her Junior year.

Madeline and her husband Ed attended every Class reunion and Knight Gathering.

HARTMAN, Linda Plude, 64, of Tampa, passed away in the care of South Tampa Health & Rehab and LifePath Hospice, December 16, 2011. She was the only child of the late Henry and Lola Plude. She leaves behind an aunt, an uncle and cousins in Connecticut; as well as close friends, Jean Ayala, Jo Ann Smith and Sue Jacobson; and her church family, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 21 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave., with a service at noon. Interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla., beside her beloved husband, Roger.

Linda was a member of the French Club and the Pep Club her Somphmore year and the Para-Med Club her Junior and Senior year at Robinson High School.

Joni Losell on FB. She graduated in 1965.  Joni died on Tuesday (February 12, 2013) in the hospital. Diabetes, which caused heart arrest, stokes and organ failures took her life.

There will probability not be an obit.  Joan's older son is taking care of the arrangements and he is overwhelmed at this point.

Joan was married twice, and had two sons, Michael Gonzalez and Ricky Gonzalez.

She had two grandchildren who she adored and regularly cared for.

Joni had fond memories of RHS and the friends she made there.

WATKINS, William Sparkman, Jr., 64, of Tampa, born on September 10, 1947, passed away on Aug. 16, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Virginia and his son Jason McDonald. He is survived by his daughter Amy Watkins Price, a brother Mark Watkins, sister Cherryl Griffin (Charlie), grandchildren Mackenzie and Davis Price, and nephews Abraham and Adam Wilkes and their families, and his beloved cat Vegas. Sherrilee Austin touched the lives of many people in many places. She was born Sherrilee Kingery on December 3, 1947, in South Bend, Indiana, before moving to Tampa, Florida, where she spent her youth and graduated from Robinson High School. While working at a local radio station, she met Jack Phipps whom she married in 1971. After several moves with the Navy, they settled down in San Diego where they had their son, Richard. They divorced in 1978, but she continued to be a loving and supportive mother for her son. In 1998, she moved to Citrus County, Florida, to take care of her ailing mother and stayed to be near her younger brother, niece and new-found friends. She would later fight her own battle with cancer. She passed away on May 15, 2011, in Hernando, FL.

Sherri always strove for knowledge and understanding and looked for ways to improve the world. After working in San Diego as a medical assistant at Scripps Medical Center, she attended the National University Law School and subsequently passed the California Bar. She put her legal knowledge to use, aiding friends where she could. While in Florida, she volunteered for Hospice, Save Our Waters and the American Cancer Society . She would later work as the administrator at Art Center of Citrus County, where she was loved for her kindness and willingness to help others.

She is survived by her son, Richard Phipps; brother, Steve Kingery; niece, Amy Kingery; and a wonderful group of dedicated and loving friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Aloma Wershing and Hubert "Bud" Kingery.

There will be a celebration of her life at a future time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society . She will be missed by all that were fortunate enough to know her!

Mr. Hubbard was born November 23, 1947, in Atlanta, Georgia to Judy Hubbard McDonald and the late Harris Ray Hubbard, Jr. He was a graduate of Robinson High School in Tampa, Florida. He was a former tire salesman for the automotive industry. Mr. Hubbard was a former resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee and lived in the community for the past nine years. He was of the Baptist faith.

Dee was born July 24, 1947, and having fought a long, hard fight with cancer, passed onto a better place. Dee leaves behind her mother, Roberta Jean Reilly; sister, Mrs. Jan T. King; husband of over 45 years, Joseph A. Serevino (retired Tampa Police Officer) all from Tampa; son, Joseph "Michael" Severino, his wife, Brenda, and two beautiful granddaughters, Olivia Danielle and Hannah Paige Severino of Spanaway, Wash.; and son, Christopher Todd Severino and his wife, Kelli Lott Severino of Tampa. Dee worked for over 30 years with the Caspers Co. in Tampa, where she acquired her second family. Vernon Fredrick Winters, "Captain Fred", of Port Charlotte, FL, went to be with the Lord on December 6th 2011.
He was born September 3rd 1946, in Akron, OH to Vernon and Harriet Winters. Fred lived all over the world as his father spent a lifetime serving in the Army.

Fred served 27 years in the Army Special Forces. He was a decorated veteran with such honors as the Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Four Bronze Stars; one with Valor, and two Purple Hearts. He also received an additional twenty medals, four ribbons, five awards, six badges, three citations, and a Special Forces Tab. He also held a Master's Degree in Marketing. Fred spent his last years as a local fishing guide and professional angler in the IFA, FLW, and ESPN Redfish Cup.
 He is survived by his wife, Diane Winters; step-children, Shan Tilly; Sarah and Josh Covington; Sam Tilly; Daughters, Jenn Winters; Shine Cardoza; Grandchildren, Ian; Ethan; Kiera; Macy; Brothers, Dick Winters; Terry Winters; Nephews, Gary Winters; Jason Winters; Nieces, Julie Krebs; Denise Motesheard.

 He is preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Harriet Winters and step-son Zachary Tilly.

Roy E. Gerould, 62, of Lumberton, New Jersey, formerly of Tampa, went home to Heaven to be with his dad, Eugene “Jerry”, on March 28, 2009, after battling cancer. He graduated Robinson High School in 1965 and attended University of South Florida before joining the US Army. He was a Vietnam veteran and served in four tours with 101st Air Cavalry Division. Roy received numerous medals including the Bronze Star. He was a land surveyor in Tampa and relocated to New Jersey. He formed his own company called Roy E. Gerould, Professional Land Surveyor. His company was involved in many major projects including Philadelphia International Airport, The Philadelphia Phillies Stadium, Black Rock Fish Passage, and the Pavilion Tower at Cooper University Hospital. Roy is survived by his mother, Ida Gerould; sisters, Alma Spradley, Wanda Fain and Sandra Romero; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services with full military honors took place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla.

Our loving husband, father, and best friend, Bill, passed away at 5:50 am on Saturday, September 19, 2015, after a long and heroic battle with Multiple System Atrophy.  His wife and best friend, Jeannine Wells Podolsky and only son, William J. Podolsky, III, were by his side as he passed from this life into the arms of His Savior, Jesus.

Bill was born in Morehead City, North Carolina, and he moved to Tampa when he was 9.  He was a varsity football letterman for Robinson High School (class of 1965), graduated from Florida Bible College (class of 1970), and studied at Grace Theological Seminary. He proudly served God and his Country in the United States Army, worked in real estate for many years, and regularly volunteered with local churches, YoungLife, the South Tampa Interbay YMCA, and as a little league umpire.

His loving legacy includes his wife and soulmate of 44 years, Jeannine; his daughter Megan, her husband Michael; his son Josh, Josh’s wife Katie; and his five grandchildren that he had the pleasure to know and love and that he considered the five most precious tiny miracles in his life, Joseph, Giuliana, Thomas, Gunnar and Georgia.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church, 350 S. Hyde Park Ave., Tampa, FL 33606.

I was hoping to one day have a post (my first possible since I created this account if ever) that was somewhat bittersweet. I wanted to say that after my Father's death, Mom has been battling cancer and that now she has survived the odds and beaten it. But alas, I can not.

Charles Frederick Gillenwater passed away from injuries received from a car accident having immediately followed his brother, Newel Gillenwater, on January 2, 2014 is now followed by his beloved, loving, caring, wonderful wife of 45 years and mother forever. Jacqueline Diane Loria Gillenwater passed away from complications from chemotherapy on May 28, 2016.

 I know they have been reacquainted to begin the love anew for eternity.

Lynne was born on July 26, 1946 in California, and was the daughter of Deloss & Betty (Young) Jensen of Brier Hill. She obtained her education from the University of Florida where she received a bachelor's degree and later attended SUNY Potsdam and obtained her masters degree in reading. She married John W. Knight on September 3, 1992, and was employed as an elementary teacher from the early 70's until 2004 when she retired due to ill health.

A Wake in honor of Lynne will be held in Cedaredge, CO at a later date. Services will also be in Redmond, UT with the Jensen family in the Fall.

"Steve" 70, of Hudson, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on July 23, 2018, surrounded by his children. Steve was a Tampa native who graduated from Robinson High School, class of 1965. After apprenticing with the Tampa Tribune, he took a job with the Detroit Free Press, retiring after 39 years of service. He enjoyed splitting time between his Michigan home and Florida home, prior to making Florida his permanent residence, being closer to his family. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred A. and Elizabeth S. Foster of Tampa, and his brother, John R. Foster of Tampa. He is survived by his brother, Frank A. Foster (Tampa) and his family; Karen Poppelreiter-Foster and her family; his children, Dave (Lisa) of Spring Hill, Kim (Brad) of Tampa, and Kurt (Cynthia) of Lilburn, GA; his nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Yesterday was Memorial Day. 2019
Yesterday we lost our Veteran. It is so fitting that my dad left us on Memorial Day as he bled Red, White and Blue.
Yesterday our Jordan came for her poppy.
Yesterday our lives were once again changed forever.
Yesterday my very first hero left us.
Yesterday my mom lost the love of her life and the man she has barely spent a day without for 46 years.
Yesterday my dad made his way to the place where he is no longer in pain and can now look over all of us and be with my baby girl (I am sure those two will be causing trouble).
We knew this day was coming with my dad. He has been fighting lung cancer for 18 months. We had been holding out hope that he would be here for his newest granddaughter’s birth. That was not in the cards. I believe my dad really lost his will to live when we lost Jordan. He wanted to go and be with her. Now they are together. ❤️
I am so incredibly sad and he will he missed tremendously. He was a rock in our lives and the guy who consistently made us laugh and cringe, with his inappropriate comments. I am the epitome of a daddy’s girl and I am so lucky to have been his daughter. I got an amazing dad and my kids got the best poppy.
We can swallow this loss a little easier as we know he was ready, he was so willing and wanted to be in heaven and with his brother Frank, with Jordan, and all his brothers he lost during Vietnam.
Our family is strong and we love each other so very much. We will get through this very difficult time and will be there for one another every step of the way as we grieve both Jordan and Richard Pittman and the loss of two VERY special people.

Tommy passed away this morning, Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the James A Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
Tommy was a Veteran of the United States Army. A Final Salute was performed there at the VA hospital and Taps was played to honor Tommy for his service and sacrifice for our USA.

Ronald Mack Scarborough died Dec. 21, 2019 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, surrounded by his entire family. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
He was born June 30, 1947, in Hawkinsville, GA, to the late Oscar and Mary Alice Scarborough. The family moved from middle Georgia when Ron was a teen-ager and he was graduated from Robinson High School, Tampa, FL, in 1965. After service in the United States Navy and two tours of duty in Viet Nam, during which he was award several commendations, including a Purple Heart, he received a bachelor degree in English Literature from the University of Florida, Gainesville. His military service resulted in his disability. He is also predeceased by a sister, Vanessa Headrick of Tampa.
Ron was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Albany and a faithful volunteer at A Place 4 Hope. After he retired from a successful career in management, he worked at Albany Auto Auction, where he made many friends. He was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 30. An avid reader, he was well known at the Albany Public Library until his heath began declining.
He is survived by his soulmate and wife, Loyless Harris; a daughter, Elanor Scarborough (Gordon Hole), Sarasota, FL; a son, U.S. Army Capt. Aaron Scarborough (Abigail), Fort Mitchell, AL; a step-daughter, Miloy Summerell, Albany; two step-sons, Ward Summerell (Dena), Albany, and Mitch Summerell (Rebekah), Senoia; grandchildren and step-grandchidren, Jonas and Micah Hole, Sarasota, FL; Orion Scarborough, Fort Mitchell, AL, Bradley Summerell (Haley) and Hope Summerell, Albany; Keaton, Landon, Trenton and KK Summerell, Senoia, and Ariel Schwartz, Augusta and Leesburg, and two step-great-grandchildren, Lillian and Benjamin Summerell, Albany. It is with great sorrow that I pass on that my dear friend David Rusinko, Class of 1965, T.R. Robinson High School passed away this past Monday evening, August 24, 2020. David and I grew up together and we always joked that we were almost twins, but I was born first, the day before him. Mary Maynard, the true love of David's life will hold a celebration of life for David at American Legion Post 138, later this year. He loved to sit on the deck at the post, watch the water and smoke his cigar.

David was a Marine, a Vietnam Veteran and so very proud of his service to our county, the United States of America.

Lt Col CHARLES “CHUCK” FRANCIS SPRIETSMA, UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS (Ret.)

Charles “Chuck” Francis Sprietsma passed away on Saturday evening December 12, 2020 in Beaufort, South Carolina.

Chuck was born on October 28, 1946 in New Rochelle, New York and was the first child and first son of Charles J Sprietsma and Dorothy Vale Sprietsma.

Chuck attended the University of Tampa on a full basketball scholarship and graduated as the outstanding honor graduate of 1968-1969. He was then commissioned in the United States Marine Corps and went on to serve 21 years as an A-4 Skyhawk pilot, including wartime service with 281 combat missions in Vietnam. He retired from military service in 1991 as a LtCol and began his second career with State Farm Insurance as an underwriter and business analyst.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Jean Way Sprietsma (married July 19, 1969, the day before Neil Armstrong walked on the moon), his son Charles Scott Sprietsma (married Paige Amsler Sprietsma), daughter Laurie Deborah Sprietsma (fiance Shawn Orloski), sister Deborah Norrid, brother Gavin Sprietsma, and his three grandchildren, Ryan, Scotty, and Greta.

Chuck was an avid pilot, ok golfer (his words), and runner (in his younger days). He loved a good romantic comedy, old movies, a beautiful sunset, baseball, and always had his “jokes ready.”

A visitation will be held at Copeland Funeral Service – One Copeland Drive on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, for family and close friends. The funeral service, with full military honors, will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.

Jean and the family appreciate all the outpouring of support and sympathy expressed by family and friends.

Yesterday my beautiful mommy went home to be with her Lord and Savior! We should have been preparing for her departure from us but instead we knew she was a fighter and in past times had always come back to us when faced with her body in physical crisis. She fought a very good fight, but unexpectedly on her husbands, our fathers, 75 birthday she gained her beautiful wings, left her tormented beaten body and flew home to walk the streets of gold. I love you, we love you and although we will miss all your humor and wit, your guidance and instruction and especially your take charge matter of fact attitude! Mom we are alright knowing you are free from all your pain and suffering and it won’t be too long before we are all together again celebrating with you and the rest of our heavenly family in Glory Land!!! Dick was born in Rochester, NY to Louise E. Wedi & James A. Lewis on March 27, 1945. He attended Robinson HS c/o 1965 in Tampa. He married Sharon Roberts on July 23, 1964 at Manhattan Methodist Church in Tampa and was married for 26 years. He then married Cathy Sampurdanis on December 9, 1990 in Tampa and was married for 30 years. He worked as a construction superintendent for over 40 years in the Tampa Bay area. Dick was known to be a practical joker who loved spending time with his family, collecting coins, old cars, 50/60’s music/dancing, animals, and going to the casino. In his younger years he was part of a doo-wop band with his best friend Mel Dryer and later he ran a teen center and managed a high school 50/60’s band. Dick was always happy, loved helping others, took tremendous pride in every single project he managed and loved to be on the job site.Dick is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cathy Wilton, his mother, Louise Wedi, his father, James Lewis, his grandmother, Edith Gelsky, his grandchild, Jordan Cardella and his best friend, Mel Dryer.Dick is survived by his five children, Karen Hutchinson (Dan), Rick Wilton Jr. (Laura), Kelli Rivera (Robert), Kim Wilton and Janie Wilton; his first spouse Sharon Wilton, his brother Donald Wilton (Cheryl); his grandchildren Amber Wilton, Briana Jordan (Bryan), Erica Wilton, Ryan Hutchinson and Kaitlyn Henry, and his great-grandchildren Easton and Brooklyn Jordan.Funeral services will be held 4:30pm EST on August 7, 2021 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home - Carrollwood with Greg Rusch of Grace Community United Methodist Church officiating. Michele Jo DeVane (Mike), previously Michele Montgomery, passed away on April 4, 2022. She was born in Macon, GA on January 6, 1947 to E.J and Dee DeVane, she attended Robinson High School in Tampa, Florida, and went on to receive a degree in mathematics. She was an accomplished artist well known for her pencil drawings and hand-lettered signs. Throughout her life, she received many accolades for her artwork. She loved gardening, reading and was always up for a good debate. Michele cherished spending time with her beloved friends: Carol and Mike, Jay and Buff, Marilyn, Muriel, Rosa, and Suzie. Michele was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Lee Montgomery, and survived by her son, Eli Montgomery and his wife Michelle of Rocky Gap, VA; daughters, Ann Shimer of Mount Pleasant, SC; and Grace Montgomery of San Jose, CA; and grandchildren, Breana, Kira and Jacob. Michele will be missed by many; she touched many lives throughout the years. At a later point in time, a small memorial service will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, please plant a flower or tree in her memory to make the world a little more beautiful.

U.S. Veteran  

Donald W. Pippin, 75, of Brunswick, Ga. died Sunday, April 17, 2022 under the care of Hospice of the Golden Isles.  The Tampa, Fla. native and resident served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.  He was a member, deacon and choir member of the New Life Sanctuary in Brunswick and loved to sing gospel songs for His Lord around the nation. Donald was a retired mortgage broker and underwriter for several banks.  Fishing and hunting in Southeast Georgia were favorite pastimes, especially with the Bay Bear and Gardi Hunting Clubs. His parents, Woodrow and Hattie Pippin preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Jeri G. Pippin of Brunswick; a daughter, Deana (Austin) Janowsky and a son, Donald “Dwayne” W. (Amanda) Pippin, II, both of Tampa, Fla.; 6 grandchildren, Katie, Coral, Ryan, Hope, Jonathan and Julia; a great granddaughter, Eliza.

A celebration of life service will be 11 AM Saturday, April 30, 2022 at New Life Sanctuary,940 Harry Driggers Blvd., Brunswick, GA 31525.

Maurice (Mo) Arthur Brunelle. 

Mo was born April 18, 1947, in Lowell, MA. He passed away after a sudden illness on July 7, 2022, in Tampa, FL. He is preceded in death by his father Maurice and his mother Rita. He is survived by brother Richard Brunelle of Tampa, FL, son Andy Brunelle of Murfreesboro, TN, son Scott Brunelle of Sydney, AU, and daughter Kate Sorensen of Germantown, TN. He is also survived by beloved grandsons Andre, Kurt, Cooper, and Thor.

He graduated from Robinson High School in 1965 and attended Lipscomb University on a track scholarship. He graduated with an Accounting degree in 1969 and began his career as a History Teacher and Coach at Lipscomb Academy. He worked as an Accountant at Firestone before spending almost 25 years at Nissan Motor Manufacturing Corporation before retiring in 2004 as VP of Logistics and Product Quality. During his time at Nissan, he was on the Board of The Boys and Girls Clubs of Rutherford County. Most recently he served several terms as President of the Pointe Alexis Homeowners’ Association in Tarpon Springs and as Community Association Manager for Condominium Associates in New Port Richey.

Mo loved his family dearly and the simple pleasures of life like spending time near the water, watching SEC football, playing board games with family and friends, and making homemade popcorn. He loved having lively discussions about politics and social issues due to his study of and interest in American History. He was a world traveler who visited Japan over twenty times and spent extensive time in Africa, Australia, and Europe. He had a knack for seeing the potential in places and spaces, and he had the work ethic and skill to make them their most beautiful. He also saw the best in people and was a skilled manager and mentor to hundreds throughout his career. However, he was most proud of his children and of living to see them reach their potential and have families of their own. He will be greatly missed by all of the family and friends who survive him.
